Our Story
clouditiv was born from a simple realization: companies need cloud flexibility without giving up control over their infrastructure.
As a spin-off from SETUP Protokolltester GmbH – an established specialist in network monitoring and IT operations for critical infrastructures – we bring decades of experience to the cloud world.
While other cloud providers come from Silicon Valley, we are rooted in the German telecommunications and critical infrastructure industry. We know what reliability, compliance, and data protection mean in practice – because we operate networks ourselves.

Klaus Bauer takes over as Managing Director. Expansion of critical infrastructure expertise.

The Founding Team
Two generations of network experts. Together we bring over 35 years of experience in telecommunications, enterprise IT, and cloud technology.
Klaus brings over 25 years of international leadership experience in the telecommunications and network industry. As Managing Director of SETUP Protokolltester GmbH, he developed the company into the leading specialist for network monitoring in critical infrastructures. His time at Accanto Systems, Acterna, and Wandel&Goltermann took him from Germany to Italy and the USA.
At clouditiv, Klaus is responsible for strategic direction, customer relationships, and building the company. His vision: making cloud technology as reliable and trustworthy as critical infrastructure companies need it to be.
Niklas combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership experience from various areas of the network industry. He has led teams at carrier networks (Telefónica, M-net) and a leading integrator (Nomios).
His focus areas: automation projects for network infrastructure, building and operating IP/MPLS core networks, and leading server and infrastructure projects. He knows the challenges of carrier-grade systems firsthand – from planning to 24/7 operations.
At clouditiv, Niklas is responsible for technical architecture, product development, and operations. He builds the platform the way he would have needed it as a customer.
