From network specialist
to cloud innovator

clouditiv was born from a simple realization: companies need cloud flexibility without giving up control over their infrastructure.

As a spin-off from SETUP Protokolltester GmbH – an established specialist in network monitoring and IT operations for critical infrastructures – we bring decades of experience to the cloud world.

While other cloud providers come from Silicon Valley, we are rooted in the German telecommunications and critical infrastructure industry. We know what reliability, compliance, and data protection mean in practice – because we operate networks ourselves.

The Beginning

Founding of SETUP Protokolltester – focus on network analysis and telecommunications.

Expansion

Klaus Bauer takes over as Managing Director. Expansion of critical infrastructure expertise.

Cloud Vision

The idea for clouditiv emerges: OpenStack-based cloud platform for mid-sized companies.

Klaus Bauer

Co-Founder & CEO

Klaus brings over 25 years of international leadership experience from the telecommunications and network industry. As Managing Director of SETUP Protokolltester GmbH, he successfully developed the company into a specialist for network monitoring and data centers.

Positions at various manufacturers took him professionally from Germany via the USA to Italy and shaped his analytical view of technologies, products, and international markets.

At clouditiv, Klaus is responsible for strategic direction, key customer relationships, and building the company. His standard: making cloud technology extremely reliable and trustworthy, as our customers expect it.

Niklas Schult

Co-Founder & CTO

Niklas is the technical visionary and driving force behind clouditiv. He combines strategy with fundamental hands-on know-how. He designs architectures that naturally remain stable, scalable, and maintainable even under carrier-grade requirements.

His experience ranges from Telefónica and M-net to the integrator Nomios, where he led teams in complex network environments and was responsible for demanding infrastructure projects. Automation, IP/MPLS core networks, and highly available 24/7 systems are part of his daily routine – from planning to operations.

At clouditiv, Niklas is responsible for technical architecture, the product, and operational management of all platforms. He develops them the way he would have expected them as a customer himself: uncompromisingly reliable, clearly structured, and future-proof.
